Fun -- Two teens meet at a bus stop and play pranks to impress eah other , resulting in the murder of a woman who answers her door to them. This is the tale of their incarceration and the attempts by adults to understand why and how it could happen.
The Cream Will Rise is the aptly named  documentary of Sophie B. Hawkins, a woman living hard, a  seemingly normal person with breathless drive, a true fighter
You won't find these flicks on normal tv. One or two might show up on Flix but most of them are only shown on The Sundance Channel. I am very lucky to live in an era when there is The Sundance Channel. God is with all these people making such wonderful, moving films. They are different. They leave you different. They are the best films our times  produce.
Waking Melee is called a "short". About 40 minutes long, it is the story of a girl who lives in an abandoned car with her brother and dreams that he dies one night. The next day he never makes it back to the car and now Melee must do something--stay alone or go to people.
Hey-- remember me on the home page of this website? Well, that is me but this is Sophie B. Hawkins. Isn't that wild? You can buy her documentary on video this April 2002.
This is me
The Sundance Channel allows independant films a nation-wide venue. You should at least try it out one day. The featival is going on right now in Utah. I hear of many great new films going on there, and other film festivals worldwide. If I am unique in my interest I probably was meant to be a producer-director like my teenager aims to be.I just find it the perfect medium to reach people but then of course they'd have to be Sundance watchers and probably already aware people.
For example, The Apple was atrue story and the 15-year-old girl who produced the film persuaded the real family it happened to to play their parts. So you get these really fresh expressions and acts from partially-autistic Iranian girls. It's so truthful that way, so cool.
